TillyCorp – Serving the Western Downs

The developer of Miles Industrial Park is TillyCorp Pty. Ltd., a family company owned by Glenn and Sharon Tilly who have a long history of proudly serving the local region.

Glenn oversees the operation of the business while Sharon ensures that all administration is in order. Together, they share a vision for the future of the business.

TillyCorp was established in 2011 with the purchase of the site of the old sale yards with the vision to develop a truck stop and industrial park. The second block, which was the old holding yards, was acquired in 2012 providing additional land for the development.

Beginnings at “Nangram”

The beginnings of our business go back 50 years to the Tilly family property, “Nangram” at Condamine. Glenn Tilly took over the property from his grandfather, Richard Tilly, in 1980 taking the farm from dryland to a successful irrigation property.

At Nangram we raised cattle and grew mixed crops. The beginnings of the business expanding beyond our own property came when Glenn designed and developed many large centre-pivot irrigation systems which soon became a substantial factory for producing cattle feed for feedlots in the area.

Nangram was sold in 2013.

Feedlot Suppliers

The growing demand for quality Australian grain-fed beef has seen a dramatic increase in the number of feedlots for finishing cattle since the 1980’s. We were fortunate to be well-positioned to take early advantage of this trend which saw us growing a lot of silage to supply feedlots.

Tilly Earthmoving

In the 1980’s we set about constructing ring dams on our own property to help us effectively manage precious water resources with our earthmoving equipment and resources.

In the early 2000’s when the gas companies began exploration in the area, we began working with them. This culminated in us working with them as the primary earthmoving contractor in the region, completing all works for many projects.
